Craig Elliott joins 900 Global / 3G

Global Manufacturing is very pleased to announce the addition of Craig Elliott to the Sales team at Global Manufacturing. In his new role, Craig will be responsible for the sales and business development activities of Global’s brands – 900 Global, 3G Bowling Shoes, and AMF 300 in the Western United States.

Elliott’s career in the bowling started as a youth and has developed through the years. 30+ years within the bowling industry in every role in a bowling center, league management, tournament director and ultimately the creation of MichiganBowlerTV livestreaming service which has evolved into BowlStreamTV.com and the opportunity to work with XtraFrame, PBA, PBA50, PWBA, JR Gold, Wisconsin HS, Collegiate Club Championships, NAIA Championships, FloBowling and most of the best scratch tournaments in the United States over the last 6 years have all been great career development opportunities to be successful in this role with Global Manufacturing. “I have always had the passion to (be a bowler), but have recognized my real strengths are to help grow the sport in as many ways as possible” added Elliott.

Chris Barnes wins PBA Tony Reyes Memorial Community Service Award

900 Global and 3G Shoes would like to congratulate world staff member Chris Barnes on receiving the PBA Tony Reyes Memorial Community Service Award. He and his wife USBC Hall of Famer Lynda Barnes, who work extensively with the youth through their Barnes Thanksgiving Classic and their support of the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) have been pillars in their community for years. Since its inception in 2004, the Barnes Thanksgiving Classic has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarship money and over 3,200 bowlers have participated in the event. Chris and Lynda were also crucial members in the formation of Strike Out Diabetes, which has raised over $375,000 for the fight against juvenile diabetes. Wes Pye VP of Sales for 900 Global had this to say “Chris and Lynda have always gone above and beyond to help wherever they can, it’s great to see their hard work recognized on such a large stage”.
Sam Cooley wins QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup
Las Vegas – Nevada
Congratulations to 900 Global staff member Sam Cooley of Australia for capturing the 54th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup at Sam’s Town bowling center in Las Vegas Saturday. Cooley defeated Kyle Troup 244-163 for the win. Sam qualified second and faced PBA Title holder Osku Palermaa in his semi-final match. Sam came out on top with a 240-203 victory using the Honey Badger Claw. In the other semi-final match Kyle Troup defeated Andres Gomez 264-216 to advance to the championship match. Congratulations to all participates in a great week of bowling and international camaraderie.
Daria Pajak signs Long-Term with 900 Global
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Global Manufacturing is pleased to announce the signing of a long-term agreement with Pro Staff Member and PWBA Champion Daria Pajak to represent the 900 Global and 3G brands. Daria was the 2017 PWBA Rookie of the Year. She was just named a First Team All-American by Bowlers Journal International. Daria stated, “900 Global has been with me since the very beginning. With their faith and support, I have achieved the greatest victories of my career. Finding the right team off the lanes was as important as finding the right equipment on the lanes. I believe I’ve found both with the TEAM at 900 Global. I look forward to a being a part of 900 Global for many years to come.”

Rio Rancho, NM – Chris Barnes captured the World Bowling Tour 15th New Mexico Open held at Ten Pin’s and More in Rio Rancho, NM this past weekend by defeating Brandon Grant of Las Vegas. Barnes had to strike on his fill ball to win the title by one pin over Grant in the two game total pin fall match. Barnes needed to defeat Grant in two straight matches to claim the title based on Grant undefeated run in match play and Barnes having previously lost to Dino Castillo of Carrollton, Texas. For the win Barnes earned $13,060 including a bonus for rolling a 300 during match play.
The event drew 171 entries for 8-games of qualifying. The field was then cut into a 32 man double-elimination match play bracket to bowl two-game total pinfall matches.
LUBBOCK, Texas –Chris Barnes of Double Oak, Texas, struck out in the 10th frame to defeat leading qualifier Jakob Butturff of Tempe, Ariz., 207-206, to win the PBA Xtra Frame Lubbock Sports Open Sunday at South Plains Lanes.
The win was Chris’ 19th PBA Title and he took home $13,000 for his efforts Sunday. Chris heads to London from Lubbock to compete as the Team Captain in this year’s Weber Cup.
2017 PWBA Rookie of the Year Daria Pajak after cashing in the first three PWBA events of the year will be off to bowl the USBC Queens Tournament this week. The USBC Queens will be held at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, NV. This year’s Queens format will include 15 games of qualifying before the field is trimmed to the top 63 bowlers plus last year’s Champion for double elimination match play. The Tournament will conclude on May 22 with a live TV Broadcast on CBS Sports Network at 8 PM Eastern.
900 Global World Staff member Chris Barnes was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Marriott North in Indianapolis as part of the Go Bowling! PBA 60th Anniversary Celebration.
Barnes, 47, is one of five players to win both PBA Rookie and Player of the Year honors. He is one of six players to complete the PBA Triple Crown (2005 U.S. Open, 2006 PBA Tournament of Champions and 2011 PBA World Championship), and as Mark Baker who introduced Chris as the event so elegantly stated he ranked among the top 8 in PBA earnings for 16 consecutive seasons. Chris has recorded 18 total PBA victories in his illustrious PBA career that began late as Chris bowled as a professional amateur for 9 years after leaving Wichita State University.

804, 803, and 807 on consecutive league nights and throw in a 300 for added measure. Trey has been firing all these scores at the Red Apple Bowling Center in Oklahoma, to get his 2018 season off to a blistering start. Trey used the Honey Badger for the first two and Dream BIg Pearl for the third.

900 Global World Staffer added to his Gold Medal Total by helping Team USA’s Chris Via, Jakob Butturff, Marshall Kent, AJ Johnson and Tommy Jones win the prestigious team title at the World Bowling Championships in Las Vegas defeating the all-spinner team from Chinese Taipei, two-games-to-none.
Chris Teamed with Tommy Jones earlier in the event to secure the Gold in Doubles for Team USA.

Ron Adkins joins 900 Global / 3G

Adkins’ career in the bowling industry started in the pro shop business in 1972. In 1975, he went to work with PBA Hall of Famer Don Mitchell at his pro shops. In 1981, Ron became an owner/operator of these four pro shops in the Indianapolis area that he stills operates today. Along with his pro shops, he has previously held Sales positions with ETONIC and Dexter. Along with Pye, Adkins joins David Hickman and Corey Hofmann on the Sales Team at Global Manufacturing.

Chris’s road to the Hall of Fame includes being one of only six bowlers to accomplish the PBA Triple Crown winning the 2005 U.S. Open, 2006 Tournament of Champions and 2011 PBA World Championship. He holds 18 PBA titles. including the 2015 DHC PBA Japan Invitational where Chris used the 900 Global Respect to shoot 300 during the televised finals.
The Hall is located in Arlington, Texas a short drive from Double Oak, Texas where Chris resides with his beautiful wife USBC Hall of Famer Lynda Barnes and two sons Troy and Ryan.

Chris Barnes finished fourth in this year’s Samho Korea Cup an event he won in 2015. The tournament was hosted by Big Bowl Bowling Center in Suwon, Korea. This year the Samho Cup attracted 240 Professional and 16 Amateur bowlers from around the world.
900 Global is proud to announce that Daria Pajak has captured this year’s PWBA Rookie of the Year Award. Daria won the points race based on her year long performance that saw her win her first PWBA title The Greater Detroit Open and place second at the U.S. Women’s Open.
900 Global staff member Russ Oviatt captured his first regional this past weekend winning the PBA Aquimo Open Presented by Columbia 300. Russ defeated good friend and former ASU teammate Jakob Butturff in the final match to claim the $2,500 first place check.
